Pacific Foundation for Medical Care supports non-profit, health related projects that enhance the availability or quality of health services in communities. Since 1993, PFMC has provided more than $1.4 million in grant awards to 73 different organizations and programs in the North San Francisco Bay Area.

In Fall 2014, PFMC awarded a total of $39,962 to the following recipients:

Center for Well Being
(norcalwellbeing.org) To support the Healthier Living Program by offering classes to low income seniors to address chronic disease management through education and prevention.

Hospice by the Bay
(hospicebythebay.org) To expand the “Home Away from Home” hospice program that provides a “hospice room” in the Sonoma Valley Hospital skilled nursing facility.  This room is for those with limited resources for hospice care and no primary care support at home in their final days.

North County Health Services 
(nchs-health.org) To provide general operating support for the new Mission Mesa Pediatrics Health Center.

RotaCare Clinic of San Rafael
(rotacarebayarea.org) To support the clinic providing medical services, pharmaceuticals and lab services for uninsured patients in Marin County.

Social Advocates for Youth
(saysc.org) To increase the capacity of bilingual intake and resource referral in the Counseling department that serves children, youth and your adults ages 5-25.
