Pacific Foundation for Medical Care supports non-profit, health related projects that enhance the availability or quality of health services in communities. Since 1993, PFMC has provided more than $1.4 million in grant awards to 75 different organizations and programs in the North San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego County

In Fall 2023, PFMC awarded a total of $00,000 to the following recipients:

Ceres Community Project – Sonoma and Marin Counties
To support medically tailored meals, nutritional education and loving support for low-income clients managing serious illness.  Helping to improve health, relieve stress and malnutrition. Also support the youth development programs engaging youth in community service and hands-on learning.

Imani Clinic – Sacramento County
For specialty healthcare for its patients, allowing the clinic to serve the patients and community better by creating new nutrition and exercise workshops and outreach activities. Also, to help cover the patient’s transportation costs and improvement to the youth program and distribute essential goods and supplies to the community biweekly events. Helping to support preventive health care, education, and improved patient care.

March of Dimes – San Diego County
For general programmatic support of local March of Dimes initiatives in San Diego. This may include Implicit Bias training, other professional education courses for individuals and organizations, promoting March of Dimes offerings through community engagement, increasing access to doulas, promoting pregnant women self-monitoring their blood pressure and community and provider education.
